What types of weddings do you specialize in?

We do “Destination Weddings.” We specialize in Ethnic weddings, i.e. Sikh and Hindu. We also do a lot of Jewish, Persian and Chinese ceremonies as well. We quite often do “Fusion Weddings” a blending of the two cultures & religions, this can be a little more challenging but fun.

Why do couples love working with you?

I do ask them how they heard of us and they usually are referred for the better part. They recognize the many years of experience and when they come in for a consultation they typically mention they are very relieved at the end, feeling confidant and seeing we know our product well. Also I really pride myself most in the way that I run my business with integrity.

What do you love most about being a wedding planner?

What I love most is the reward. The reward that you receive on the “day of” when you see it all come together, what you have worked on over the last year. When you see it all flow without a hitch and finally the smiles on their faces and you know they are so happy and so proud of their day. It kind of makes all the stresses you’ve experienced to get here all dissipate away and this becomes the big picture. Just one more success story for you but the real reward is in knowing that you help make their most important dream come true!

How did you get started?

I have been in the Travel Industry for the past 30 years. When destination weddings first became the trend I was right there at the right time and was the first in the Coast to arrange destination weddings – both travel and wedding planning and on an international basis. I can honestly say “The Travel Industry” has been the biggest joy of my life. I can’t image reliving my life and doing anything different for my career! I do believe that this passion has truly been the key to my success!

What budget range do you cater to?

I would say a bit of all. The average budget is about $1,800 – $2,300 (per person). Sometimes they only have $1500 for the guest travel package and this is hard these days to meet.

What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?

I set up a consultation to have them come to our wedding lounge. I recommend they discuss their fiancé prior to the consultation the basic things: needs, preferences and budget. I have them fill out and questionnaire prior to coming in and this gets them thinking as well.

I then do a presentation of our services and start my dialogue to gather as much information as possible and get to know their styles and what’s most important to them. At that point, I know right away the best destination and resort experiences that would probably best suit them. I provide my recommendations and ask them to do a bit of homework for me. My team than does the research and prepares the initial proposal. It usually takes about one month to narrow it right into the perfect destination wedding experience for them.

From our first meeting, we felt so welcomed into the office and were given all the information we needed to make the best decision for where we would like to have our wedding. I would have to say that my group was extremely difficult to deal with, I don’t even know how Jennica did it. I came to tears on a few occasions because of cancellations, name changes and all kinds of different demands from the group. Jennica was always professional, friendly and willing to help.
